Liberia’s Unity Party expels Johnson-Sirleaf

Abuja – Liberia’s outgoing ruling Unity Party(UP) has expelled President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf for alleged breach of the party’s constitution. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf The party conveyed the decision in a statement issued by its Assistant Secretary General for Public Outreach, Mohammed Ali, on Sunday.

The mood of President Muhammadu Buhari when the news of the new year day bloody attacks on Benue State filtered into town was one of sadness, Sunday Vanguard has been exclusively told. His Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, in an interview in Abuja, last week, disclosed that the President felt very bad about the dastardly act that claimed over 70 lives.
